Santhivanam, meaning "The Forest of Peace," is a unique spiritual sanctuary founded by Acharya Sooryanarayan, where nature, meditation, and self-discovery come together in perfect harmony.
"The Forest of Peace — Where Nature & Sadhana Converge"
No 1, Kaledam Temple Road, Foothills of Kodassery, Kanakamala, Kerala.
In the ancient traditions of Kerala, certain geographic nodes carry a subtle vibrational resonance called Kshethra Chaitanya. Santhivanam is established upon such sacred ground at the feet of Kanakamala hillocks. Sheltered by ancient forest canopies, singing bamboos, crystal-clear spring water veins, and sacred botanicals, seekers step out of the frantic modern world into timeless serenity.
Every pathway here is designed for mindful walking (Chankramana), every breeze carries the restorative aroma of native forest flora, and every dawn greets you with the calls of wild songbirds. Here, healing is not an effort—it is the natural consequence of returning to harmony.
Free from urban electromagnetic disturbance and industrial noise.
Brahma Muhurta wakefulness, solar alignment, and restorative sleep.
Our mission is to nurture peace, kindness, empathy, and a deep sense of oneness with all life. We believe that humans, animals, birds, trees, plants, and every living being are part of one universal family.
"True fulfilment comes when we reconnect with this beautiful web of life and recognise ourselves as an integral part of nature."
To create a world where humanity lives in harmony with nature, recognising all beings as one family and experiencing the fullness of life through peace, awareness, and spiritual growth.
"From fragmented isolation to universal wholeness—awakening the sacred bond between humanity and the cosmos."
Acharya Sooryanarayan imparts that worldly triumph without inner equilibrium is hollow. True victory is the dissolution of inner discord into the infinite, compassionate rhythms of Mother Earth.
At Santhivanam, every moment is an invitation to slow down, observe, and connect. Nature is our greatest teacher, offering endless opportunities for wonder, reflection, and inner growth.

Guests enjoy traditional South Indian cuisine prepared with love using fresh, organic vegetables grown in the Ashram's gardens. Visitors are welcome to participate in gardening, harvesting, and food preparation, creating a deeper connection with the earth and the food that nourishes us.
Cultivated with natural leaf compost, wood ash, and pure hill water, our chemical-free vegetable garden yields indigenous gourds, plantains, moringa, tender greens, and traditional spices. Nourishment begins with honoring the soil.

Acharya Sooryanarayan encourages every spiritual seeker to immerse themselves in nature and experience its profound wisdom. When we embrace nature as our family, loneliness fades and a sense of wholeness emerges.
Through silence, meditation, yoga, and mindful living, the subtle energy within us connects with the infinite energy of nature. In this connection, we discover peace, balance, and our true purpose.
Pausing outer speech so the subtle heartbeat of nature and your own deepest intuitive wisdom can finally be heard.
Dissolving artificial boundaries of ego into the vast, compassionate web of life until loneliness vanishes completely.
Directing prana and internal bio-currents to reverse metabolic wear and awaken primordial cellular vitality.
Walking gently with empathy and gratitude for every human, animal, bird, tree, and plant in our shared family.
Derived from the ancient Siddha and Hatha traditions, Kaya means the physical vessel and Kalpa means immortal transformation. It is the esoteric art of reversing metabolic wear and awakening the vital nectar (Amrita).
Rooted in the unbroken transmissions of Agastya and the 18 southern Siddhars. Kayakalpa was preserved in discreet oral lineages to transmute the perishable bio-mass into an energetic diamond vehicle (Vajra Deha), clearing karmic imprints stored in physical tissues.
Modern science recognizes autophagy and telomere preservation; Kayakalpa achieved this millennia ago. By recalibrating metabolic heat (Jatharagni) and redirecting life-force inward, cellular oxidation slows, the endocrine glands secrete restorative hormones, and vitality surges.
Precision techniques practiced in early morning stillness: Ashwini Mudra, Mula Bandha, Pranayama with Kumbhaka (breath retention), and contemplative inner witnessing. The practices are tailored individually to your constitution and spiritual readiness.
The human body is an alchemical laboratory. When the breath is made subtle and mind rests in its source, every cell returns to its pristine, youth-bearing equilibrium.
A life consecrated to tapasya, inner exploration, and the uncompromising transmission of classical Indian spiritual sciences.
